Description

Quick and easy chicken and avocado wraps with a turmeric kick.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 large whole wheat tortillas
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, toss chicken with turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Warm tortillas according to package directions.
  5. Divide chicken mixture among tortillas. Top with avocado, lettuce, and red onion.
  6. Add optional toppings if desired.
  7. Roll up tortillas and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts.
  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
