Description

Easy sheet pan chicken parmesan for a quick and delicious weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Drizzle chicken pieces with olive oil and toss to coat.
  4. Dredge chicken pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  5. Arrange chicken in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispy chicken, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
