- 1/2 tsp whole black peppercorns (optional)
- 1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Place sliced onions in a clean glass jar.
- Combine vinegar, lime juice, orange juice, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Pour hot liquid over onions. Add peppercorns and chili flakes if using.
- Cool to room temperature, then seal jar and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
