Description

Chewy and delicious cookies packed with oats, chocolate chips, and pecans.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and pecans.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

  • Do not overmix the dough.
  • Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the best texture.
