Description
A refreshing iced latte combining earthy matcha, sweet blueberries, and floral lavender for a balanced summer drink.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 tsp dried lavender buds
- 1 cup milk (almond, oat, or dairy)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- Ice cubes
- Optional: lemon zest for garnish
Instructions
- Simmer blueberries, lavender, water, and sweetener in a saucepan for 5 minutes. Strain syrup and let cool.
- Whisk matcha powder with 2 tbsp hot water until smooth.
- Fill a glass with ice. Pour in 1/4 cup lavender-blueberry syrup.
- Add milk, then slowly pour matcha over the back of a spoon to layer.
- Stir gently before drinking. Garnish with lemon zest if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more/less syrup
- Use plant-based milk for a vegan version
- Store leftover syrup in the fridge for up to 3 days
- Replace lavender with mint for a different flavor profile
- Serve immediately for best texture
