Description

Flavorful chicken with turmeric in a healthy wrap with avocado.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 whole wheat tortillas or wraps
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt or sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Warm tortillas according to package instructions.
  5. Divide chicken mixture among the tortillas.
  6. Top with sliced avocado and chopped cilantro.
  7. Add a dollop of Greek yogurt or sour cream if desired.
  8. Wrap tightly and serve.

Notes

  • You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or onions.
  • Spicy food lovers can add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
