Description

Easy and decadent chocolate cake with a fudgy texture.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of instant pudding mix.
  • Add nuts or other mix-ins to the batter.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
