- 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
- 1 box (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can use any flavor of instant pudding mix.
- Add nuts or other mix-ins to the batter.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
