Description

Quick and easy honey garlic chicken made in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat.
  6. In a separate small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth.
  7. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is glossy and coats the chicken.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
  10. Serve immediately with rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey and soy sauce to your taste.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
